School is in session: Are you ready? If you need some engaging resources, I've got you covered!

Are you in full school swing yet? Do you start after Labor Day? Either way, these great resources will be a hit in your classroom in September! Click on the pictures to see them in my store.

I'm sure practicing reading sight words is one of the things on your list of things to do! This fun game is editable. Type in your words to differentiate or make different sets of words for each week or quarter. Kids take turns picking and reading words. Picking POP means all your words go back in the bucket!

After learning about the Science of Reading this summer, I reaffirmed how important phonics instruction is! These cards can be displayed or used as flashcards to reinforce common phonics sounds taught in 1st Grade.

Practicing those phonics skills is much needed. I use these word strips to reinforce sounds taught and for fluency in small groups. I also use as quick assessments and to track progress by timing the reader.

Kids also need lots of practice on math facts. These fun seasonal pages have facts vertically, horizontally, addition, subtraction, mixed, 0-5, 0-10, and 0-20. These are perfect for morning work, extra practice on the back of the days' math worksheet, or even assessment.

Are you finding that your students need more handwriting practice? These sheets use the floors of a house to model how to write "upstairs," "downstairs," and "basement" letters. Practice both capital and lowercase letters.

Are you planning to read any fairy tales this year? My large library of fairy tales includes story books, student readers, readers theater, and plenty of fun learning activities.

Looking for some nonfiction close reading activities? I have over 70 animals to choose from. Here's what one teacher thought:

"My students loved this resource! They found it super interesting and were very engaged. I really liked the different levels and it was very helpful for my lower students." -buyer
